Fellow twitter users will know that every Friday is #FollowFriday, where everyone makes recommendations of other twitters to follow. It’s a great way to find out about amazing shops, twitter newcomers and networking.
I wanted to use this Friday to introduce some of my favorite websites and blogs, discovered through twitter. Hopefully this can become a regular Friday blog 🙂
London Darling has created this slick looking blog offering lots of fashion coverage, beauty news, competitions (currently to win a personalised necklace a la Carrie Bradshaw) and a what’s on guide for London. She also regularly twitters and is well worth following for her hints and tips for events in London.
Love London’s blog is a lovely collection of personal posts, daily ideas on what to do in London, and offers and deals. She’s also very funny on Twitter and well worth a follow.
One of the friendliest tweeters, judy_jay was recommended by several others on a previous #followfriday. The London based blogger posts about a variety of things, and also works on http://www.wahanda.com/ (perfect for all your spa and beauty needs) and ViewLondon.
Alex published her first Domestic Sluttery article this week (see link below) which is one of my favorite blogs on the Internet. Previously working on studentbeans.com (a must see for any students) Alex also has a fab blog and has some very funny insights on twitter.
Gemma is a web editor and bought the fantastic Catwalk Queen to the masses. She also very kindly gave me the opportunity to be an intern on her new project. Well worth reading her blog and following her on Twitter for some fab tweets.
Fab Find Blogs
Domestic Sluttey is a treasure chest collection of yummy recipes, cocktails, gorgeous furnishings and lots of treats. You’ll want to buy/bake everything you see. Promise.
http://papercakesfinds.blogspot.com/ (@ PaperCakes)
Papercakes is an USA based blogger who brings together all the beautiful girlie treats on the Internet, especially Etsy. She also holds interviews with other big Etsy sellers.
Oolamoola is your shopping buddy, helping you find exactly what you want at less than you expected to pay! Simply send them a challenge and they will try and find the product/meal/holiday for you for less.
Yummy Baking Ideas
I discovered mumswhobake last week, and they’re fantastic not just for mums but for everyone who loves baking! The site offers a huge variety of recipes, a section where readers can submit their own photos of their baking, and a shop offering lots of goodies (including a heart shaped cupcake tin which I’m seriously loving).
Shoppers Best Friend
Verygoodservice is a brilliant website that does exactly what it says on the tin, provides visitors with information on who provides the best customer service. Especially good for boutiques. Also, the lovely twitterer @verygoodservice is really friendly, so say hi if you follow them!
Inspiring Girls night in
This is such a great idea and I’m trying to persuade my soon to be married friend to have her hen night here! The Make Lounge provides fun classes for everything from cupcake decorating to making your own knickers! All in a fun environment, perfect for a girls night out (or is it in?)
All of these tweeters update their shops regularly and have some gorgeous things in stock.
Beautiful high quality vintage clothing. There are a few dresses on there that look absolutely stunning.
Really funky accessories. In particular check out the Alice in Wonderland Necklace.
Beautifully created, whimsical jewelery. YellowGoat also regularly holds competitions.
Recently featured in More! Magazine, LMD Vintage has a massive range of glamorous high quality vintage goods.
A fab website (with the coolest background!) with lots of affordable vintage fashion.
Thrush has some great vintage finds on her Etsy site, including some beautiful shoes.
HellCatVintage has a range of not only lovely vintage clothing but also vintage homeware.
DearGolden has a great range but also is nicely photographed, paying attention to detail, especially for accessories.
Sorry for the length of the post, there are so many lovely website/blogs out there!
